Digital MIDI Interrupter for Tesla Coils
This video showcases a digital Tesla coil interrupter, based on a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W. It generates an audible PWM signal used for driving solid-state Tesla coils and ZVS-driven flyback transformers.
The controller is capable of polyphony to play multiple notes/frequencies at the same time. Compressing multiple notes into one channel is achieved by rapidly switching between the frequencies.
The functionality and design is based on the “Arduino DRSSTC Interrupter” of HTLAB.NET: https://htlab.net/electronics/teslacoil/arduino-drsstc-interrupter
